9) It's a good way to procrastinate. Always- whether a student or a worker bee (though caution to the worker bees: limit the blogging in the workplace; bosses don't look favorably on this)

7) You can learn about people you don't know (people who post on sisters blogs so that said sister will think they're uber cool)

6) Your friends actually know what's going on in your life, even if you happen to spend a little too much time singing to your cat and ignoring the rest of the world.

5) You can heckle your friends and sisters for the comments they made on your blog. Or, in the case of Jane, you can call your sister out.

4) Once you become a little technically literate, you can make cool changes to your blog (note: this does not apply to people who don't understand the difference between post & publish- aka me)

3) You can pretend you're David Letterman even though you're not

2) Sisters will call your links cool names like "curly tales"
