Ok, so I'm off the Starbucks craze. Yes, it appears the giving up for Lent thing kicked the habit. I suspect I'll have it occasionally after Easter, but it's unlikely to be nearly as intense as it once was. However, the Starbucks addiction has been replaced with a new, seemingly more lethal (though less expensive) addiction: chocolate. Yes, my new co-worker, Debbie, brought in a candy bowl the second week on the job and filled it with Reese's peanut butter cups. And it's been all downhill from there. I've taken quite a liking to little Peppermint Patties throughout the workday, though they've been interspersed with other varieties of chocolate. In fact, just last week Debbie and my boss toured a chocolate factory (one of our clients) and brought milk chocolate with pecan, dark chocolate bars (I'm saving that one for you, Helen), and milk chocolate with almonds. Yum!
Because of the nasty side-effect-- a stomachache-- though, I have to limit my consumption of these tasty treats. Probably not a bad thing.
