An Outdoors-y Extravaganza
so, this past weekend, me and my fellow franciscan types went up to the poconos and went camping. we're talking sleeping in tents here- though we did have a port-a-pot and access to grocery stores a 20-minute car ride away...so we weren't completely roughing it. it rocked, though. sure, i'd been on the girl scout camping trips, but we never once slept in a tent then...we always "roughed it" by sleeping on bunk beds in a cabin. not exactly one with nature.
we hiked through the Delaware Water Gap on saturday afternoon and went for a swim in the lake nearby (and we even used innertubes!). hamburgers and hot dogs camping style are uber-tasty, and lest we forget my favorite camping food: s'mores. Yum! complete with campfire singing, no less...it was POWER!
