Wolftrap, wolftrap, Wolftrap!

Ok guys, if you've never been to Vienna, Virginia, you're missing out on an uber cool venue. It's a former farm converted into a concert extravaganza. It's like the Mann except a whole lot better. The acoustics are amazing, and you get to hear cool people performing. B.B. King was there last night- no, I didn't see him...but who I did see is a little-known very awesome band- Eddie from Ohio (see previous blog). It's made up of three guys and a girl- the girl is this amazing singer and they've got bass, lead guitar (acoustic and electric), and a kick-ass set of drums that include bongos (I know you're secretly jealous, helen). Who opened for EFO was a violinist from Cape Bretton in Canada-- Natalie McMaster. Yes, yes, I know it sounds dorky (it's me)-- but she was really rather rockin'. She tap danced while she played and also had some crazy funky dance moves. All in all, a grand concert!

Another cool DC place (that has nothing to do with Wolfrap): the Sackler-Freer Art Gallery next to the Smithsonian castle. Just ask my sidekick for anything you've ever wanted to know about James Abbott Whistler but were afraid to ask. He's quite the expert.
