if you wanna sing out...

Now, I ask myself, "what would encourage people to comment on my blog?" i've resigned myself to the fact that my blog formatting doesn't particularly lend to a surfing around, if you will. the links to other pages are all located at the end of the entries. i mean, who is really going to scroll all that way down? it's unfortunate. when i first started my blog, this was the only format that hadn't been taken by one of my other family members. you see, it used to be quite the "in" horstmann thing. since then, most of the blogs have died/consolidated. and of course, now blogger has all these fancy formats. but can you change to any of these fancy formats without deleting all content? of course not. i mean, why would you design something that could easily be reformatted. and since i'm not the web guru- and definitely far from the technology guru, as other blog entries have attested to, i can't seem to figure out how to reformat my blog. and believe me, i've tried. is my blog committed to this form forever, never calling additional commenters because there are no links and nothing to surf on my blog?
